The app is great when it is operational. My experience so far is that the app and the hardware are functional 2 months over a year. I have the Tahoma hardware, the Philips hub and a smart home controller; this app provides only 17% uptime compared to ~99% with the other manufacturers. Mandatory updates when connecting to this app have a good chance to ruin your safety system, so you can't use it while you are away from home. The support system is a 1990's style forum.

I have got shutters powered by Somfy. It is a terrible product. Connectivity to the Tahoma switch is lost every so often or the app reports an error for one of the shutters and is unable to operate it. Also being dependent on a cloud solution without the possibility to go through a local network only is really stupid. Each time the Somfy servers are down I am not able to operate the shutters. Also in the app there is no possibility to control the tilt of the shutters for the whole room at once.

App really hard to use! Temp sensor scales continually shift making historic information impossible to compare. Scheduling not intuitive, arduous & extremely time consuming... Changing schedule to holiday for 10 days... This used to be simple drag & drop. Couldn't find a way to group change days to holiday. Had to turn on holiday scene for each day, then turn off 7 instances of normal scene which were still active! Took about 15 mins to program. Lucky I'm not away longer!
